The Bedford Steam Engine Preservation Society
The Bedford Steam Engine Preservation Society was formed by a few stalwart steam enthusiasts on 27th February 1956 and has grown over the years into one of the largest preservation societies in the country. Our first steam rally was at Woburn Park back in 1957. The Society hosts several annual events, a Road Run, a Steam Apprentice Driving Weekend, our main event the Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre in September, and a Dinner and Dance in November. The society also gives support and guidance to members who run their own smaller events.
