Astle Park Traction Engine Rally 2025

August 9th-10th saw the return of Astle Park Traction Engine Rally for 2025. Astle Park Traction Engine Rally has never really been well known for its stationary engine line up, with the 1000 Engine Rally (held on the same site) taking that title. Saying that, the now defunct 1000 Engine Rally couldn’t hold a candle to the Traction Engine Rally in its latter years as a whole, which for a weekend playing engines really does take some beating. Over the last few years, the quality of the engine line has slowly improved along with the quantity and has plans to continue next year even more so.

There aren’t many shows around the country where you can see more than a couple of large engines. Astle Park Traction Engine Rally didn’t disappoint with a good handful on display including a 9hp Allan, a 6.5hp Blackstone, a Tangye and of course the lorry mounted Gardner.
