Blackstone & Co Ltd Stamford, Lincolnshire vertical lamp start oil engine. This particular unit, engine no. 112376, is one of very few known to exist and is presented in excellent overall condition. Originally supplied by W. Thomas and Son, Carmarthen, this engine features the distinctive vertical hot-bulb (lamp start) design, which allowed reliable operation on heavier oils. These engines are seldom seen, especially in such complete and well-preserved condition
