Tangye 3 cylinder pump with double gear reduction. As per pictures, this is a project! The pistons are seized in the bores and the piston skirts have split, however there is no other damage that I can see, I have even checked for frost underneath and the main casting is sound. Interesting set of “Chevron” gears which I’ve never seen before on a Tangye pump. Also a second reduction using very fine tooth gears laminated from sheet metal which is again something rather novel.
Needs a lot of work but a worthy project, it is rare to find the smaller versions of these pumps, this is only 3″ bore so not too heavy.
Trolley not included in the sale, it was just a handy size to move it around the yard, however may be available by separate negotiation.
I have to state a price, however I am open to offers, swaps, etc. I’d just like to see it restored and realistically I’m never going to get round to it!
