H J Pugh held their December Vintage Sale this weekend, included in the sale were some not so common engines!
It looks as if there was some good deals to be had with the likes of a Victoria 5HP fetching only £800.
Star of the sale had to be lot 737 the trailer mounted J. Seal 1/2hp engine bringing a very strong £2000. Followed by both lot 731 and 732, both bringing £1,500 showing that the small American open crank market is still strong when other areas of the hobby are lagging.
Lot number 744, an 8hp Ruston Hornsby AP seemed like a bit of a gift at only £1000.
Worthy of a mention is the crazy price of £800 paid for the modern plastic reproduction Blackstone Oil Engine sign lot 750.
