Hey all, I have done a small refurbishment of a Lister domestic water pump. Just the air chamber with new gaskets and a clean, and upon checking the valves, there was scale and dirt in the air chamber. I put it all back together and primed through inlet pipe, driving the pump with an electric drill (working inside the garage because of the weather, I will be running it with a Lister D type engine when outside) no water ,primed again and hey presto water, I put all the pipes back into and out of the bucket, driven again with the drill and pumping well, The pump will be mounted onto the trolley that I have made in preparation, just waiting for better weather in South Wales.
I would like to find the date of the pump I know the age of the D type is 1954 it has plant no. 141745 and serial no. 103244 I don’t know how to find date if anyone can help that would be appreciated. Robert.
