Just finished the freshen up of my recent addition to the arsenal of Petter loads, it’s a 3″ John Cherry centrifugal pump, not much needed for this one, just a clean up, coat of paint and a new trolley with a nice riveted tank to replace the plastic one it came with, just wheels to paint now and it’ll be ready for Stradsett in May
Flanges were bought online with some new barrel nipples to make fitting the hose easier.
An elbow was fitted inside the tank with the hope it’ll stop any cavitation due to the size of the tank, if it doesn’t work as I hope i can always add a nipple into the elbow or even fit a baffle if needed
The delivery pipe was reused as there wasn’t anything wrong with that so a barrel nipple was turned down in the lathe until it slid into the pipe then welded up, actually went better than I expected……
All in all it went back together as planned and is now more or less ready for a test run so hopefully I can get the Victory out before too long and see how it goes.
