Henham Steam & Country show took place over the weekend of the 20th & 21st of September at Henham Park near Blythburgh in Suffolk, this was the 49th year the rally has taken place and the second year they had a seperate pen for a lighting display. There was a good selection fo engines from the expected Petterlight set, a couple of Lister D sets and a nice mix of engines with various gennys all adding to the atmosphere of the evening.
Dan Meads had his lovely Koher twin, that ran beautifully all weekend purring away. For an air cooled twin it really is quiet!
Callum Tracy had his 5hp New model Petter M but due to an issue, all he was able to do was add flames to the evening but his M still ran well.
I had my single flywheel M and Evolution genny set there and that was very well behaved on a load of 10 x 100w bulbs so burbled away nicely, There was also a rather unusual and not often seen Crossly TS that seemed to be drawing a crowd.
We were lucky with the weather though and really had an enjoyable time.
Photos and report of the main engine pens to follow soon…..
Paul Riddle had his lovely Petterlight set there, this really is a lovely set and ran really well, hopefully he will be bringing that to Petterfest in October.
Ian Kerridge has a lovely D gen set and although I’m not a fan of the dross box, that did look good and ran really well with a good load on it.
