Sunday 15th March saw the Tarmonkey Spring Crank Up and what a day it was, David and his crew did a fantastic job of getting his engine collection out and running and was joined by many more people with engines of all sorts, we made the trip down and had a fantastic time talking to friends old and new about engines and “stuff ”

David puts in a lot of effort with his crank up, he has a large collection of his own that gets brought out and ran on the day and which is no easy feat.
There was a good selection of French engines on display and these are really pleasing to look at, some are extremely fancy! (A separate report on the French engines is to follow from Sean “Spooner” Murrell)
Ruston Hornsby was well represented with some tidy examples of those seen on the day and as to be expected, a fantastic display of Petters.

Here is a selection of some of the ones that caught my eye.
