Saturday saw Cheffins Spring 2026 sale, held at their Sutton sale ground with plenty on offer for buyers of all types. Prices were very reasonable if not a little low, with only a couple of lots bringing what you could call “strong money” and others realising far less than you would expect.
Highest price of the day was for lot 2026 – spec 10 Lister D type at £2,500
Star of the sale had to be lot 2046 – Capel vertical engine and pump bringing £1100.
Bargain of the day had to be lot 1981 Ruston Hornsby APR at just £300!!
